The Indien-Institut e.V. has been working for many years on a non-profit basis and independently of government funding to promote knowledge about India – its cultures, religions, science, economic development, and society. It is financed exclusively through tax-deductible membership fees, subsidies, and donations.

The institute is supported by prominent figures who embrace its work of bringing people together, by its knowledgeable and dialogue-oriented members, and by cultural funding from Bavarian companies with economic ties to India, which is still pending but urgently needed.

In the future, the India Institute will continue to do everything in its power to deepen understanding of the world’s largest democracy and promote intercultural exchange.
